Laser Hair Removal Before and After Pictures
During treatment, we will place a laser on the surface of the skin. A cooling tip at the end of the laser cools the outer layer of the skin, and the light energy from the laser penetrates through the surface of the skin and is absorbed at the base of the hair follicle. During the procedure, you will feel a sensation similar to a rubber band being snapped on the skin as the laser fires.
Laser hair removal differs greatly from electrolysis and waxing. Electrolysis can be a very slow and painful treatment process, where the hair follicle is heated via an electrical current sent through the shaft of the hair follicle. Waxing can also be painful, and it must be practiced repeatedly on a monthly basis for consistent looking results. By contrast, laser hair removal treatments are performed relatively quickly, and will result in permanent hair removal.
